What’s Chirping?

“First grade teachers like to eat lunch with students outside at the tables in the bird sanctuary.   Small groups of students are invited to eat with their teacher outside to be observers of nature.  Students enjoy spending time while eating lunch listening to the birds.  They love being on the look-out to see what types of birds might be flying around the bird feeders or making nests. They get very excited when they spot a new bird that they haven’t seen before.  It has been a joy to watch them tip toe quietly to a bird feeder or bird bath to sneak an up close view of the birds!”

  1. Don’t forget to remind your students that our library has some BRAND NEW bird books (thank you, Student Council)! Remember to ask for them when your class is having their Library special!

    Thanks,
